Thiruvananthapuram Railway division is one of the 6 divisions of the Southern Railway Zone of India. Its headquarters is in Thiruvananthapuram. It was the 53rd Division in the country, was carved out of the Palakkad Division and started in October 1979.[1] As of 1997, it has 625 km of route length and carries over 1.65 lakh passengers daily.[2]

It is the second highest grosser for the south zone during the year 2009-10.[3]

The division covers the southern part of Kerala and some parts of Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu.
